Carroll Shelby - CEO, Director
Carroll Shelby has been involved in the automobile
racing industry as a successful driver and team manager for
decades and during this time has manufactured both on and
off track cars. He has also worked as a consultant on some
of the auto industry’s
most entrepreneurial projects. (see History for more)
Amy Boylan - President, Director
Amy Boylan joined Shelby following a successful
tenure as Senior Vice President at Mattel. At Mattel, Boylan
wore several hats including guiding marketing for the die-cast,
racing, automotive aftermarket and online initiatives and
leading production of Barbie Collector and Hot Wheels products.
She built Mattel’s
software division into a $140 million enterprise, reorganized
the company’s entertainment division and significantly
increased sales in its popular Hot Wheels adult division. Boylan
orchestrated the implementation of the Hot Wheels Collector
Club, today a multi-million dollar collectible business and
the #1 online collector community. She oversaw the installation
of the Hot Wheels Hall of Fame at the Petersen Automotive Museum
in Los Angeles and managed large automotive events including
SEMA, Woodward Dream Cruise, Toy Fair and Hot Import Nights.
During her seven-year tenure with Mattel,
attendance at Hot Wheels collector conventions jumped from
1,500 to more than 5,000 participants annually. Boylan was
also responsible for developing synergistic marketing programs,
expanding partnerships with Formula One and the National
Hot Rod Association (NHRA) and new business development including
a multi-year partnership with eBay. Boylan also reinvigorated
Mattel’s partnerships
with automotive legends John and Ashley Force, Tom “The
Mongoose” McEwen, George Barris and Don “The Snake” Prudhomme.
Prior to joining Mattel, Boylan served as studio head and Vice
President of Development for Microprose Software, Inc, a Maryland-based
leader in the development of PC strategy and simulation games,
from 1996 to 1998 managing five development teams and launching
several software titles including “Magic: the Gathering”.
She was instrumental in leading Microprose to “Studio
of the Year” recognition prior to its sale to Hasbro.
Boylan also served as Sr. Director of Product Development for
Acclaim Entertainment from 1994 to 1996 and was the VP of Product
Development and Licensing at Intracorp from 1990 to 1994. She
earned her BA in Business and an AA in Graphic Design from Queens
College in New York.
